Teamwork.com is one of the few project tools built specifically for client work. It knows what a billable hour, a retainer and a client invoice are, and that makes it a serious option for agencies. If you're comparing it with Suprwork, you're already past general-purpose task tools.
The differences are about scope and pricing. Teamwork.com goes deep on project delivery and the commercial side of projects. Suprwork goes wider across the business, includes chat and daily check-ins, and doesn't charge per person.
What each one is for
Teamwork.com is project management for client services. As listed on teamwork.com/pricing in November 2026, Accelerate adds time budgets, retainers, client invoicing from logged time, and workload and capacity planning. Optimize adds quotes, multi-currency budgets, profitability insights and resource planning by role or skill.
Suprwork is one workspace for running a small service business: projects and time, team chat, daily check-ins, a client portal, proposals, invoicing, hiring, time off and reviews, at a flat monthly price with everyone on the team included.
The cost
As listed on teamwork.com/pricing in November 2026, billed yearly: Basics is $9.99 per user a month (3-user minimum), Accelerate is $24.99 per user a month (5-user minimum). Optimize and Enterprise are by quote. Monthly prices weren't shown on the page.
Many teams run a separate chat tool alongside Teamwork.com, so we've added Slack Pro at $7.25 a user a month billed yearly, as listed on slack.com/pricing in November 2026.
Suprwork, from our pricing page: Starter $49, Basic $99, Plus $199, Max $249 a month, everyone on the team included. Plans differ on monthly AI usage and storage. We assumed Basic for 10 people and Plus for 25.
| Monthly cost | 10 people | 25 people |
|---|---|---|
| Teamwork.com Accelerate ($24.99/user, yearly) | $249.90 | $624.75 |
| Accelerate + Slack Pro | $322.40 | $806.00 |
| Teamwork.com Basics + Slack Pro ($17.24/user) | $172.40 | $431.00 |
| Suprwork (Basic for 10, Plus for 25) | $99 | $199 |
| Suprwork, one plan up (Plus, Max) | $199 | $249 |
We've compared against Accelerate because that's the first Teamwork.com plan with invoicing and capacity planning, which is the usual reason agencies choose it. At 25 people, Accelerate plus Slack Pro is $9,672 a year, against $2,388 for Suprwork Plus.
Where Suprwork is different
You don't pay for the next hire. Teamwork.com's price, like most agency tools, grows with every person. Suprwork's doesn't.
Chat is included. Channels, DMs, threads, voice notes and files, in the same app as the projects, on web, desktop and phones. A client can be invited into one channel only.
Daily status is written for you. Check-ins ask each person for their plan in the morning and what got done at the end of the day, typed or spoken, and give you one written summary of the whole team each day with blockers pulled out. You stop asking for updates because they're already there.
Estimates get checked. The estimate accuracy report compares estimates with logged hours person by person, so you see who underestimates and why tickets ran over.
The client sees progress in plain words. The client portal shows each client a written summary of where their project stands, deliveries waiting for their sign-off, and what they owe on linked projects. Linking a delivery to a milestone payment means their sign-off drafts the invoice.
The rest of the business. Proposals with typed-name acceptance, hiring with skills tests, time off, reviews and 1:1s, documents and SOPs are part of the same workspace.
Where Teamwork.com is better
Budgets. Teamwork.com has time budgets from Accelerate and multi-currency budgets on Optimize. Suprwork has no project budgets at all. Its Margin view ranks projects by labour margin from logged hours and cost rates, which is useful, but it's not a budget you burn down.
Resource planning. Teamwork.com's Optimize plan plans resources by role or skill. Suprwork has a workload view and a team forecast, which is simpler.
Depth of project management. Teamwork.com has spent years on agency project delivery, and its project features go deeper than Suprwork's.
A free plan. Teamwork.com's free plan covers up to 5 users. Suprwork has a 14-day trial, then a paid plan.
Integrations. Teamwork.com connects to more tools than Suprwork does.
If you're a 40-person agency with a resource manager whose job is planning capacity by skill, Teamwork.com was built for you.
Switching
There's no direct Teamwork.com importer in Suprwork. The spreadsheet import reads any task list saved as .csv or .xlsx, maps the columns you choose (status, assignee, dates, priority, project, list, tags, parent), and creates one task per row. Most agencies are better off moving active projects only and keeping the history where it is.
How to decide
If your hardest problem is budget burn on many concurrent projects, and someone on the team owns resource planning, Teamwork.com is likely the better tool. If your hardest problem is that the team doesn't report, you ask for status every day, and you pay per seat for a project tool and a chat tool on top, Suprwork covers that for a fraction of the per-seat total.
